Wippermann jr. GmbH is expanding its manufacturing range in Hagen by using the latest fibre laser cutting technology. The new high-performance solid-state laser offers flexible and precise manufacturing options for special assignments.

Dr.-Ing. Jakob Küpferle, Head of Engineering at Wippermann jr. GmbH, states: “When manufacturing with the new fibre laser, the development of tools required for traditional punching processes is no longer necessary. In this way, we are able to not only respond flexibly to customer requests but also to produce small batches and prototypes quickly and cost-effectively.”

This new manufacturing option for the production of individual components will further enhance our focus on the best service and consistent customer orientation.

Dr. Küpferle: “The laser significantly minimises the time from sample part or prototype to serial production. Considering the requirement for ever shorter development cycles, this is a real added value for our customers.”

Moreover, the investment in the new plant at our Hagen site is a further element of the Wippermann strategy to produce premium components with a high manufacturing depth for the drive and conveying technology in Germany. Managing Director Dr. Stephan Gerber says: “We always think and plan at an uncompromisingly high level of quality. Apart from our comprehensive manufacturing depth and excellent raw materials, this includes a strict orientation towards individual customer requirements. In uncertain times like these, we offer new opportunities for special requirements with the same high level of reliability you can expect from Wippermann.”
